CORRECTION: Has your town centre felt safer this summer? Let me know... |

Dear Resident
It has come to my attention that the link in yesterdays message does not work. Apologies for the inconvenience this has caused and please see the below message sent out yesterday, with the correct survey link.
Has your town centre felt safer this summer? Let me know...
You may remember earlier this year I sent a short survey out to residents in Hertfordshire asking for your views on safety in our town centres. Based on your feedback, there has been a big push to improve safety in our town centres, shopping areas and parks, working with Hertfordshire Constabulary, local Councils and Business Improvement Districts.
More police patrols, proactive action to tackle shop theft, anti-social behaviour and robbery and partnership working with Trading Standards to close dodgy vape shops selling counterfeit or illegal goods. We even had the mounted police visit one of the county’s parks for reassurance patrols.
The statistics show the work has delivered results with a 6% reduction in crime in our town centres this summer compared to the same period last year. But statistics only tell some of the story and I’m interested in your feedback. I'm now running a short follow-up survey to see whether you've noticed a difference, what you think has made the most impact to safety in your local area and what you’d like to see prioritised next.
Your feedback helps me focus on the things that matter most to you.

I look forward to hearing your views.
Your sincerely, Jonathan Ash-Edwards Police & Crime Commissioner for Hertfordshire | ||
